Get ready to step back in time as you feel like you are entering an old time general store. Great food, very friendly service. Awesome pie.
Lots of antiques. Fun place to visit so close to Fort Wayne!

I went her today's in a row for lunch. I went the second day just to try the Saturday only breakfast. The location is probably out of the way for most of Fort Wayne, but it would be well worth your time to drive here. For me, It is a close drive and I am grateful that I well be able to make this place a frequent restaurant to eat at.

It is mostly a soup, salad, and sandwich cafe with daily specials that are not on the menu. However, the sandwiches are elevated. I haven't had the salad or soup, but I am sure they are awesome, because the sandwiches are amazing. The reason I say the sandwiches are elevated is that they didn't just throw so meat and additions on a bun. For instance, the turkey artichoke sandwich has a homemade cream cheese and artichoke spread on it. The steak tip sandwich is basically a sirloin tips steak lunch with sauteed red onions on toasted bread. Both very good.

The breakfast is omelets and hash breakfasts with specials that are not on the menu. One of the specials I had was biscuits and gravy. I guess it is a regular special, because I had heard about it the day before and they had it on the Saturday that I went. The sausage gravy is mostly sausage then gravy. It was two biscuits split open with a mountain of sausage gravy on it. It was amazing. I also saw someone get a side of bacon even though it was not on the menu, so I guess you can request it.

Another cool thing about this cafe is that it is in the back of a antique general store. Above the store is a women's clothing boutique that has some really good looking women's clothes and there is a photo studio that looks really good for getting photos done. The studio has some really good looking props for getting photos.

    The whole experience is awesome!

This place is adorable! It's a little cramp in the dinning room area but eating on the porch is very delightful. The food taste fresh and light.

This place is adorable! I found it through word of mouth since they have very little social media or advertising presence. I try to stop in when I am traveling through Fort Wayne because I love the quaint atmosphere and patio dining that make me feel like I am really getting away for an afternoon. Interior looks like a mix from a bunch of country garage sales. Menu is pretty standard cafe fare with sandwich, soup, and salad options. I'm a fan of the Cheese Louise and the Raging Bull sandwich. Every dish comes with little sides that always include pickles! Homemade desserts are amazing! Chocolate peanut butter pie is a favorite! I think quality could be slightly better, but the place is so charming that I will continue to return.

By far one the cutest, most quaint restaurants I've ever been to. The midwestern farmhouse charm of this little hole-in-the-wall eatery exceeds even the most middle American expectations. Breakfast options range from the most hearty, sausage-filled biscuits and gravy to strawberry ricotta french toast casserole. I haven't been more satisfied with a breakfast experience since I discovered mimosas at brunch. For anyone looking for down-home cooking with a gourmet flare and impressive service, I strongly recommend Pickles Cafe.
